What is De Fiets van Oma (‘Granny’s Bike’)?
This two-person tricycle is available for people who cannot ride a bike on their own. On this solid bike they can enjoy the outdoors. De Fiets van Oma is a local non-profit initiative.
The Dutch measures against the coronavirus can be found here.
Why De Fiets van Oma?
In Delft several nursing homes have a bike like this for clients, but people with a physical challenge who live independently miss out on this fun activity!
By asking a low fee we try to keep the dual bike available for as many people as possible. You are supposed to come with two people yourself. We don’t work with volunteers that come along on the bike ride.
How does De Fiets van Oma work?
You can make a reservation online. The rent is €5 per 4 hours. We also ask a €20 deposit. It is appreciated if you pay upfront via bank transfer. Our International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is NL74 RABO 0306 1458 55. You might also need our bank’s BIC code: RABONL2U. There may be extra costs if there is a currency difference.
Holiday park Delftse Hout accomodates shelter for our special bike, for which we can’t thank them enough. Reservations and payment are handled through this website (in Dutch), or send an email to email@example.com if you can’t work it out. The front desk of the holiday park will not accept payments on our behalf, because we are separate organisations.
